Apply 30 days prior to the expiry date of the residence permit

 

Fill out an application form and submit passport or other international travel documents, compliant photographs, and all material related to the purpose of application.

 

If after examination, the reasons for extension are found to be appropriate and sufficient, an extension shall be granted. 

 

If an extension is denied, the foreigner shall exit China on the expiry date  specified on the residence permit at the latest.
