B.A. International Studies from Southern Oregon University

Professional Achievements & Experience: 

I graduated with a B.A. from university in the United States.  I have also studied many foreign languages such as German, French, Arabic, Spanish and Chinese. 

I have been teaching in China since 2014 and have lived in a few different Chinese cities during this time. Working and living in China has been a great for experiencing a new culture and meeting new people from all over the world.

 I have had the opportunity to travel to many different countries in the world which has given me an appreciation for different peoples and cultures. 

As a musician, I have been parts of many bands who have performed a variety of different styles of music.

Approach to Teaching & Learning: 

I like teaching because I believe education makes the world a better place and helps students become better people and world citizens.  As a teacher you can feel that you can make a real difference in a students life and perhaps help them succeed in the future.

As a teacher I try and encourage students to develop important study skills they use in future in any class.  I hope students will learn to critically think and form opinions that are unique to themselves.  My goal is to help students prepare for studying in university and beyond and perhaps for studying in a foreign country.

Hobbies: 

Music, traveling, cooking, sports and learning about history
